A narration regarding when Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and Abu Bakr (radiyallahu ‘anhu) entered Madinah

Is this wording of the Hadith which includes Sayyiduna ‘Abu Bakr (radiyallahu ‘anhu) correct?

ما رأيت يوما قط أنور ولا أحسن من يوم دخل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وأبو بكر المدينة

Answer

Yes. Imams Ahmad and Abu Ya’la (rahimahumallah) have recorded this wording with an authentic chain.

(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 3 pg. 122/123, Musnad Abi Ya’la, Hadith: 3486)

Translation

Sayyiduna Anas (radiyallahu ‘anhu) says, “I have not seen any day more illuminated and better than the day Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and Abu Bakr (radiyallahu ‘anhu) entered Madinah.”
