The benefit of being grateful (shukr)

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

Is this in a Hadith?

‘No servant who is grateful of Allah except that he is granted barakah and abundance in his rizq.’

Answer

This is an established principle in Islam, which is understood from the following verse:

‘If you are grateful to me, I will definitely grant you increase.’

(Surah Ibrahim, verse: 6)

In light of this verse and other Hadiths, it is understod that whatever ni’mah (bounty) one is grateful for, he will be granted increase in that, or in other ways.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
