Is there any ‘special virtue’ for reciting the du’a when visiting the sick?

Is there a specific virtue or merit in reciting this du’a when visiting the sick, recorded in Sahih Bukhari?

‘La ba’sa tahurun insha Allah‘

Answer

I have not come across any specific virtue for reciting this du’a. However, this is a masnun du’a to recite when visiting the sick, as Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would recite this du’a.

(Refer: Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 3616, 5656)

The reciter will therefore be rewarded for practising on a Sunnah, and insha Allah the sick will be cured.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
