Is this narration authentic?
لا يحافظ على الوضوء إلا مؤمن
Answer
Translation
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Only a true Believer protects/safeguards his wudu” [i.e. Habitually remains in the state of Wudu]
Authenticity
Imams Ibn Majah and Ibn Hibban (rahimahumallah) have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Thawban (radiyallahu ‘anhu) and other Sahabah (radiyallahu ‘anhum).
(Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 277-278-279 & Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 1037)
Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith authentic.
