Translation of some sentences in the famous Hadith of Mi’raj

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

How would you translate the following in the Hadith of Mi’raj?

1. وَقَدْ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِ

2. فنعم المجيء جاء

Answer

1. Has he been sent for [to come up into the sky]?

This question was posed because not just any person is allowed therein.

(Fathul Bari, Hadith: 349, ‘Umdatul Qari, Hadith: 3207)

2. His coming is excellent.

This was to further praise and welcome our Nabi (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam). Like when we welcomingly say to our visitor: It is so nice that you have come…

(‘Umdatul Qari, Hadith: 3207 and Tuhfatul Bari, Hadith: 3207)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
