Abu Bakr (radiyallahu ‘anhu) will be welcomed by all the inhabitants of Jannah

Is this narration authentic?

Answer

Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has declared this Hadith authentic.

(Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, 6867)

Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has also recorded similar words on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma). ‘Allamah Haythami (rahimahullah) has declared the narrators reliable.

(Al Mu’jamul Kabir, Hadith: 11166, Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 485, Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 9 pg. 46)

Translation

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“A Man will enter Jannah. Every inhabitant [in the various rooms/stages] of Jannah will be welcoming him saying, ‘Come to us, Come to us.’ Abu Bakr (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said, ‘O Rasulullah! On that day this man will have no regrets/will not be at a loss.’. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, ‘Most certainly, and you will be this man O Abu Bakr.’
