Answer

Sayyiduna ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amir (radiyallahu’anhu) reports that he met Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) and asked him:

“How will I be safe?” (from sin/punishment destruction etc)

Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) replied:

Control your tongue, let your home be spacious enough for you, and cry over your sins.

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2406. Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has declared this Hadith as sound-hasan-)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
