Is this Hadith authentic?
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“If anyone brings up two girls [by taking care of them until they reach the age of puberty], he and I will enter Jannah like these two [fingers], pointing with his [index and middle] fingers. (Tirmidhi)
Answer
Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik (radiyallahu ‘anhu). He has declared the Hadith sound (hasanun gharib).
(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 1914)
Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has also recorded this Hadith with slight variation in the wording.
(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2631)
