Is this narration authentic?
عن أبي سعيد قال: خرج علينا رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ونحن نتذاكر المسيح الدجال فقال: ألا أخبركم بما هو أخوف عليكم عندي من المسيح الدجال؟ قال: قلنا: بلى. فقال: الشرك الخفي أن يقوم الرجل يصلي فيزين صلاته لما يرى من نظر رجل
Answer
Imam Ibn Majah (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith.
(Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 4204. Also see: Musnad Ahmad, vol. 3 pg. 30)
‘Allamah Busiri (rahimahullah) has declared the chain sound (hasan).
Translation
Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id Al Khudri (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports, “Once Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) came out to us while we were discussing Dajjal. He said, ‘Shall I not tell you of that which I fear more for you than Dajjal?’ We said: ‘Certainly.’ He (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, ‘Hidden shirk; When a man stands to offer Salah and beautifies his Salah because he sees someone looking at him.’”
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
