Is this Hadith authentic?
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Each time a woman breastfeeds her child/[gives birth] she receives the reward of freeing a slave”
Answer
The Muhaddithun have declared this Hadith unreliable. ‘Allamah ibn ‘Arraq (rahimahullah) states, ‘I have no doubt that this narration is a fabrication.’

Note: The narration is recorded in Kitabul Majruhin and Al Kamil with the words
‘فلها بكل وضعة عتق نسمة’
and not
‘فلها بكل رضعة عتق نسمة’
(Kitabul Majruhin, vol. 1 pg. 288, Al Kamil, vol. 3 pg. 514)
