What is the authenticity of this Hadith Qudsi?
Allah Ta’ala says: “O son of Adam, I created you, sustain you and you worship someone else? Son of Adam, I call you and you flee from me? Son of Adam, I remember you and you forget me?”
Answer
Imam Khalili (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration wherein Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said that these words were revealed to a Nabi of the past. ‘Allamah Suyuti (rahimahullah) has cited this narration and says that these words were in the Injil [A Divine book if the past].
This narration has been transmitted through a weak chain as pointed out by Imam Khalili (rahimahullah) and others.
