Is this narration suitable to quote?

Answer

Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith in Al Adabul Mufrad with a sound chain. The Hadith is suitable to quote.

(Al Adabul Mufrad, Hadith: 14)

Translation

Abu Murrah once rode with Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) to Al ‘Aqiq [A place just out of Madinah Munawwarah]. When Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) entered his property, he shouted at the top of his voice, “Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessing O my beloved mother!” She would reply, “Wa ‘alaykas salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu (And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessing).

He then said, ‘May Allah have mercy on you, you nurtured and took care of me when I was young.’

She replied, ‘O my beloved son! may Allah reward you with good and be pleased with you as you are dutiful towards me when I am old.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
