Is there a specific way to pass the hand over an orphan’s head?

Is there a narration which mentions that  one should pass his hand over an orphan’s head from the middle of his head towards his forehead and a non orphan from his forehead towards the middle of his head?

Answer

This narration has been declared unreliable by the Hadith Masters. ‘Allamah Dhahabi (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith a fabrication.

The Hadith is not suitable to quote.

(Kitabud Du’afa, vol. 5 pg. 274, Lisanul Mizan, vol. 7 pg. 177 and Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 8 pg. 163)

Passing the hand over the head of an orphan [in no specific manner] has been mentioned in other authentic Hadiths. See here.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
