The rebellious devils are chained in Ramadan, the doors of Jannah are opened and the doors of Jahannam are sealed

Please verify the authenticity of this Hadith?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“When the first night of Ramadan enters, the Shayatin and rebellious Jinnat are chained,the doors of Jahannam are closed and no door remains open, the doors of Jannah are opened and no door remains closed, and a caller announces: ‘O the one seeking piety and good, advance. O the one seeking evil, restrain (from your evil).’ And Allah Ta’ala emancipates many souls from the fire of Jahannam, and this transpires every night throughout the month of Ramadan.”

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi, Imam Ibn Majah and other Muhaddithun have recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

Imam Ibn Khuzaymah, Imam Ibn Hibban and Imam Hakim (rahimahumullah) have declared the Hadith authentic.

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 682, Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 1642, Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, Hadith: 1883, Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 3435, Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 1 pg. 421)

The following words appear in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“When the month of Ramadan arrives, the gates of Jannah are opened, the gates of Jahannam are closed and the shayatin are chained”

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 1899 and Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1079)
