Authenticity of the Hadith ‘Whoever swears at his parents then strike him’

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

Is this Hadith authentic?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Whoever boasts of his knowledge then argue and quarrel with him, whoever swears at his parents then strike him and whoever hits his parents then kill him”

Answer

Imam Daylami (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). However the Hadith is transmitted through a fabricator and is therefore not suitable to quote.

(Refer: Dhaylul La-Alil Masnu’ah, vol. 1 pg. 167, Hadith: 184, Tanzihush Shari’ah, vol. 1 pg. 274 and Lisanul Mizan, vol. 3 pg. 189)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
