The true miser, one who does not send salutations to Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)

Is this Hadith authentic?

Husayn ibn ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) narrates that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“The miser is the one in whose presence I am mentioned and he does not send salutations upon me”

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith and has graded it authentic (hasanun sahih). Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has also graded the Hadith authentic.

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3546 and Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 909. Also see Fathul Bari, under Hadith: 6358, vol. 11 pg. 168)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
