‘Amir ibn Fuhayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu)

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

Is the following narration authentic?

‘Urwah ibn Zubayr (rahimahullah) narrated: “When ‘Amir ibn Fuhayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) was martyred, ‘Amir ibn Tufayl saw his body being lifted into the air. We considered that these were the Angels lifting him.”

Answer

This incident is suitable to quote for the purpose of the merits of the Sahabah (radiyallahu’anhum).

Imam Bukhari has also alluded to it (mursalan) in his Sahih.

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 4093)
