Please provide the reference for the following Hadith:
“There is no action that a person can leave behind with his family before setting out on a journey which is more virtuous than two [optional] rak’ahs [of Salatus safar] he performs by them”
Answer
Imam Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith (mursalan). Shaykh Muhammad ‘Awwamah (May Allah protect him) has declared the chain of narrators sound (hasan).
