A lengthy discussion between Nabi (sallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam) and a traveller

What is the authenticity of the following dialogue between a traveler and Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam):
Traveler: I do not want ‘adhab to be written in my account.
The Holy Prophet: behave well with your parents

Traveler: I want to be known among people as an intelligent person.
The Holy Prophet: fear Allah always.

Traveler: I want to be counted among Allah’s favorites.
The Holy Prophet: recite Quran every morning and evening.

Traveler: I want my heart to always be enlightened.
The Holy Prophet: never forget death

Traveler: I never want to be away from Allah’s blessing.
The Holy Prophet: always treat fellow creatures well.

Traveler : I never want to be harmed by my enemies.
The Holy Prophet: always have faith in only Allah.

Traveler: I never want to be humiliated.
The Holy Prophet: be careful of your actions…..

The narration goes on to mention approximately eighteen advises in total.

Answer

I have not come across this Hadith in any primary Hadith source.

One should be cautious and abstain from quoting a Hadith (like the one in question) when the Hadith is untraceable in any original Hadith source, until its authenticity can be verified.

A similar sort of conversation between a Bedouin and Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) has been cited in Kanzul ‘Ummal. The chain of narrators is also unknown for this version. See more details here.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
