The virtue of a big congregation in Janazah Salah

What is the authenticity of the following narration :

Malik ibn Hubayrah states that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“A person upon whom three rows perform Janazah Salah, Jannah/Allah’s forgiveness is compulsory for this person”

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith and has declared it sound (hasan).

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 1028)

Other narrations in Sunan Tirmidhi and Sahih Muslim suggest that if forty people or one hundred people perform a person’s Janazah, Allah will accept their intercession on his behalf.

‘Allamah Nawawi (rahimahullah) states that whichever one is found; three rows, forty people or one hundred people, [insha Allah], their intercession will be accepted on behalf of the deceased.

(Sahih Muslim with Al Minhaj, Hadith: 2195)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
