The complexion of the inmates of Jahannam

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

Based on the following verse of the Holy Quran,  يوم تبيض وجوه و تسود وجوه فاما اللذين ابيضت وجوههم ففي رحمة الله, is it correct to say that the inmates of Jahannam will be dark skinned and the inmates of Jannah will be light skinned.

Answer

Yes. This is correct

(Refer: Tafsir Uthmani, Surah: 3, ayah: 106-107)
The Hadith in Sahih Bukhari (Hadith: 21) supports this too, that the inmates of Jahannam will be burnt black, and once the Muslim inmates are removed, their colour will change to being fair before entering into Jannah.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
