Hadith on loving Allah Ta’ala, Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and the Ahlu Bayt

Question

Kindly verify the authenticity of the following narration:

Love Allah for the favours that He grants you, love me for the love of Allah, and love the people of my house (Ahlu Bayt) for my love

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded the narration in question and has classified it as sound (hasan).

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3789)
