A du’a Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would make in sajdah

Can you please provide the reference and Arabic text for this supplication:

“O Allah! I seek refuge in your pleasure from your anger, in your forgiveness from your punishment and I seek refuge in you from you. I cannot fully praise you, for you are as you have praised yourself”

Answer

Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded this du’a on the authority of Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) who heard Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) make this du’a in sajdah.

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 486)

Transliteration

Allahumma a’udhu bi ridaka min sakhatiki wa bi mu’afatika min ‘uqubatika wa a’udhu bika minka la uhsi thana an ‘alayka anta kama athnayta ‘ala nafsika

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
