A widespread story has been circulated amongst Muslim laymen about a non-Muslim woman who threw dirt on the Prophet everyday until the Prophet consoled her while she was sick, which lead her to accept Islam. Is there any reference to this story in any books of hadith or seerah?

Unfortunately, we were unable to locate this narration in any of the books which we have at our disposal.
The onus of bringing proof and establishing its authenticity will be on those who narrate it.
Until then, it will not be permissible to quote this incident.
