I would like to ask you that i am getting married but the problem is that my husband lives abroad and he is going to arrive in January and that will be the month of “Safar”. My mother is worried that we don’t do weddings in the month of Safar!! Can you kindly explain what is the point behind this month ?
Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
It is permissible to get married in the month of Safar. There is no month in which it is not permissible to get married. Believing that marriage is not permissible in Safar or in any other month is baseless.
