Reciting Surah Ya’seen before Fajr Salaah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by eFiqh.com

If one reads surah yaaseen before fajr salaah instead of after, will he still get the reward of his days needs being fulfilled ?

Answer:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu

Sayyiduna ‘Ataa bin Abi Rabaah Rahmatullahi Allai states that the Prophet Sallalahu Allaihi Wassalam said:

وعن عطاء بن أبي رباح ، قال: بلغني أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:

من قرأ يس في صدر النهار قضيت حوائجه.

 رواه الدارمي مرسلاً.

“Whosoever recites Surah Yaasin in the early part of the day his needs will be fulfilled.” [1]

It is stated in MirqaatSharhul Mishkaat under the commentary of the above Hadith, that one’s worldly needs and the needs pertaining to the Deen and the Hereafter will be fulfilled. [2]

* Hence in light of the above, it will suffice for one  to recite Surah Yaseen before the Fajr Salaah in order to attain the same reward.

And Allah Ta’ala knows best
