Women praying Zuhr Salaah at the time of Jummah Salaah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulUloomTT.net

Q. I have been told that it is discouraged for muslim women to pray Zuhr salaah at home around the same time Jumaah salaah is being carried out in the masjids and it is in fact better to pray the salaah at a later time (eg. 2:00 pm, 2:30 pm). Is this statement true with regards to the shariah and is it ok to pray the salaah as soon as the time for Zuhr begins?

A. Those (males) upon whom Juma is essential, but cannot perform it due to (a temporary) valid reason, then it is commendable for them to delay their Dhuhr Salaah until the Juma Salaah in the locality has been completed. (Al Fatawa Al Hindiya Vol. 1 Pg. 148).

However, this is not for the females, since Juma has not been made compulsory on them. Hence, there is no need for them to delay the Dhuhr Salaah until the Juma Salaah of the locality is finished. (Kitabul Fatawa Vol. 3 Pg. 56-57)

And Allah knows best.
