Q. I know smoking cigarette is a disputable matter and some are of the opinion that it is haram or some are of the opinion that it is Makrooh Tahreemi. The reason for this difference is that the cigarettes are not available at that time but the hookah is available at that time. Is smoking hookah permissible in the light of shariah?
A. Smoking hookah has the same ruling of smoking the cigarette.
