Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulUloomTT.net

Q. Is the benefits or payments from claims of the National Insurance scheme, such as:

Loss of employment allowances
Loss of revenue due to illness payments
Monthly pension
Death benefits – $4000.00 (which is given to the next of kin/family when a person who is a pensioner or contributor to this scheme has died.)
Maternity benefits – $2000.00 (for mother’s that are contributing to this scheme upon presentation of the birth certificate of the new born.)

permissible for Muslims to partake of?

A. It is permissible for Muslims to benefit from these payments that are made by the NIB since these benefits are based on the amount that was paid by the individual himself on a monthly basis over a period of time.

And Allah knows best.
