Is it permissible for a man to wear his pant below his ankles?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulihsan.com

Q: Is it permissible for a man to wear his pant below his ankles?

Respected Brother/Sister in Islam

Your query below refers;
Keeping one’s clothing that hangs from the top, above one’s ankles is an emphasised teaching of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) for men. This is not only during Salaah, but in all conditions. Hence, one’s pants and other clothing hanging from above should be such that they remain above one’s ankles even without having to fold them. If this is not the case, then one could fold them until such time that one’s clothing is hemmed in accordance with this teaching of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wa Sallam.) I recomend that you refer to the following link wherein this aspect as well as a few other important aspects are clearly explained. http://www.khanqah.org/books/show/the-four-actions
