Reciting Durood after Kalimah Tayyibah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DaruliftaaZambia.com

Question

Hope you are well mufti shb

Mufti saheb is it allowed to say صلى الله عليه وسلم after يا رسول الله

And what is the ruling of praying durood after kalima e tayibah

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The Kalimah Tayyibah consists of two parts only.

However, in general circumstances, when the name of Nabi ﷺ is mentioned, the durood ﷺ is also attached.

Accordingly, one may attach the durood after محمد رسول الله or يا رسول الله with a slightly different tone to differentiate from the actual wording of the Kalimah Tayyibah. If one recites the Durood once, that will also suffice. It is not necessary to recite the Durood each time the Kalimah is recited. [1]
