Is it ok to give your workers some rice, sugar oil etc. today since you cannot give them for xmas or new year

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The exchanging of Christmas gifts is nowadays not only confined to Christmas Day itself. Rather, gifts and cards are given out prior to the actual day as well. As such, the granting of such items shall still fall under the purview of Christmas gifts, even if the intention is not such.[1] Shariah emphasizes disassociation from the Kuffaar in one’s intention as well as the timing of their activities.
Hence, it is best that such items be granted to the employees after the Christmas period, i.e. at the end of the year. One should grant these items with the intention of showing appreciation of the services rendered by these employees over the course of the year. If should also be made clear to the employees that these are not Christmas gifts or a Christmas bonus.

وإن أهدى يوم النيروز إلى إنسان شيئا ولم يرد به تعظيم اليوم وإنما فعل ذلك على عادة الناس لا يكون كفرا، وينبغي أن لا يفعل في هذا اليوم ما لا يفعله قبل ذلك اليوم ولا بعده وأن يحترز عن التشبه بالكفرة، وعن الإمام أبي جعفر الكبير رحمه الله تعالى إذا عبد الرجل خمسين سنة ثم جاء يوم النيروز وأهدى إلى بعض المشركين بيضة يريد به تعظيم يوم النيروز فقد كفر بالله وحبط عمله
