If anyone fluctuates in and out of sleep would his wudhu break

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

Assalaamu’alaikum mufti sahib, if a person begins to fluctuate in and out of sleep, just say 5-10 minutes before salah, does this nullify one’s wudhu?

Answer:

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

As long as ones rear is firmly seated, his ablution will not be nullified by sleep, even if one is leaning against something in a way that if it were removed he would fall. (Ahsanul Fatawa p.22 v.2 & Fatawa Darul Uloom Deoband p.35 v.1)

Therefore, regarding your question, if your rear was firmly on the ground, your wudhu will remain intact.
