Can babies see Angels?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

Can babies see Angels?

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

Answer

It is not possible for humans to see angels in their angelic form unless they come in the form of human beings.

Even Saaiduna Jibraail Alayhis Salam would come in the form of a human (in the form of Dihya Kalbi Radiallahu Anhu) to the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam. It was only thrice where Saaiduna Jibraail Alayhi Salam appeared in his angelic form to the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam.

First of all, it was when the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam had himself wished to see him in his real form and shape. The second time, was in the Miraj and the third time was at Ajyad in Makkah al Mukarramah during the very early days of Prophethood. The first two happenings are proved authentically; however, the last one is weak and is therefore doubtful. (Maariful Quran p.5 v.1)

Keeping this in mind we can derive that a baby would not be able to see an angel in its actual form.
