Question

Are jinns mortal or immortal?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

“Everyone upon the earth will perish,

And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.”

(Surah ar-Rahmaan, Verses 26-27)

In his tafsir of these verses, Ibn Kathir explains-

“Allah states that all the residents of the earth will perish and die. The residents of the heavens will die, except whomever Allah wills.”

Therefore, we can conclude that the jinns are mortal and will also die.

Only Allah knows best
