Question


 


Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,


Please inform that cutting of hair and nails are allowed for Muslims at the start of Zil Hajj up to Eidul Adha.


 


 


بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم


In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 


 


Answer


 


It is recommended for a person who is going to slaughter an animal to avoid cutting their hair and nails. If someone is not sacrificing an animal, he can cut his hair and nails.[1]

[1]رد المحتار على الدر المختار (2/181)[خَاتِمَةٌ] قَالَ فِي شَرْحِ الْمُنْيَةِ: وَفِي الْمُضْمَرَاتِ عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ فِي تَقْلِيمِ الْأَظْفَارِ وَحَلْقِ الرَّأْسِ فِي الْعَشْرِ أَيْ عَشْرِ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ قَالَ لَا تُؤَخَّرُ السُّنَّةُ وَقَدْ وَرَدَ ذَلِكَ وَلَا يَجِبُ التَّأْخِيرُ اهـ وَمِمَّا وَرَدَ فِي صَحِيحِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ – صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ – «إذَا دَخَلَ الْعَشْرُ وَأَرَادَ بَعْضُكُمْ أَنْ يُضَحِّيَ فَلَا يَأْخُذَنَّ شَعْرًا وَلَا يُقَلِّمَنَّ ظُفُرًا» فَهَذَا مَحْمُولٌ عَلَى النَّدْبِ دُونَ الْوُجُوبِ بِالْإِجْمَاعِ


التجريد للقدوري (12/6344) قال أصحابنا [رحمهم الله]: إذا دخل العشر وأراد الإنسان أن يضحي أو عين أضحيته، لم يلزمه أن يجتنب حلق الشعر وقص الأظفار.
