Question:
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah
If an old person wears diapers, and it’s difficult for someone to come and change him for every Salah, he can just pray with the diapers, right?
Answer:
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
If the diapers are soiled with an impurity which is more than the size of a dirham (hollow part of the palm), then praying with such impurity on one’s clothing is impermissible. If the impurity is equal to the size of a dirham then it is makrūh tahrīmī (prohibitively disliked). If the impurity is less than a dirham, then it would be makrūh tanzīhī (mildly disliked).[1] If this senior has a problem with consistent urine drops, then the rulings of an excused will be applied. [2]

وما ينقض الوضوء بخروجه من بدن الإنسان” كالدم السائل والمني والمذي والودي والاستحاضة والحيض والنفاس والقيء ملء الفم ونجاستها غليظة بالاتفاق لعدم معارض دليل نجاستها عنده ولعدم مساغ الاجتهاد في طهارتها عندهما

وعفي قدر الدرهم” أي عفا الشارع عن ذلك والمراد عفا عن الفساد به وإلا فكراهة التحريم باقية إجماعا إن بلغت الدرهم وتنزيها إن لم تبلغ

وتتوضأ المستحاضة ومن به عذر: كسلس بول واستطلاق بطن لوقت كل فرض ويصلون به ما شاءوا من الفرائض والنوافل ويبطل وضوء المعذورين بخروج الوقت فقط. ولا يصير معذورا حتى يستوعبه العذر وقتا كاملا ليس فيه انقطاع بقدر الوضوء والصلاة. وهذا شرط ثبوته.
