Question:

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

Are there any other duas a person can read except allamhum inni zalamdtu after durood shareef in last qaaidah

In the name of ALLAH the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Answer:

Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh

A person can make any dua that is narrated in the Quran or Hadith as long as it doesn’t resemble everyday speech. They should make dua for themselves, their parents and the rest of the Muslims. `Ibn Mas’ūd رضي الله عنهused to make this dua:

And it is preferable to say the following dua near the end of the prayer:[1]

The best way to learn what duas you can make from the Quran and Hadith is to sit with your local Imam/scholar and go over the duas.

And Allah knows best.
