Zakat on charitable goods

Question:

Salams Ulama Kiram

I pray you are well. My question is regarding zakat..

Someone has a sweet shop. But it is not for business rather for charity purposes.

So all the stock/sweets have been either donated or have been bought, but the profits go to charity.

Is there zakat on the stock?

There is no owner of the stock.

Jazak Allah

Answer

بسم الله الرحمن الرحي

The wealth collected for the purpose of charity is like Waqf property onwhich there is no Zakah.
