Question:

I am fasting and i have tummy ache, it’s on top of my stomache and I am feeling sharp pains around my chest area and upper stomach but no heart pains If I break my fast do I have to do kaffarah or qada

Answer:

Bismillah

If someone breaks their fast due to an illness such that without breaking the fast, the sickness or pain would worsen and become extremely difficult to bear, then only a Qada (single make-up fast) needs to performed. Kaffarah will not be binding. [1]

And only Allah knows best.
