Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Is it permissible to accept the Gifts, attend the functions and receptions of non-Muslims which may be Haram or Halal?

Answer

(Fatwa: 497/497/M=1434)

A Muslim can accept gifts from a non-Muslim provided it involves no evil. It is also allowable to participate in their party and function if you do not have to commit any act against Shariah:
ولا باس بالذھاب الی ضیافۃ اھل الذمۃ (الفتاوی الھندیۃ 5/426، بیروت)
