Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Myself Mohammad Salman have a strong will (niyah) to keep beard but I have a fear that will I be successful to keep it for always. How much big sin is not to keep beard? I am afraid, lest in future I remove my beard. Please guide me what should I do? If a person who doesn’t keep beard will Allah not accept his good deeds, salah, zakah, Hajj and any other small worships. We should wait till then. My iman be more strong for this. Answer

(Fatwa: 305/312/N=1434)

(1) Your fear and concern are from satan. Shaving beard after keeping it or even not growing beard both the things are haram, unlawful and major sin. It is not so that it is haram if shaved after keeping it and lawful if not kept from beginning. Hence you should grow your beard trusting in Allah as well as keep on supplicating Allah for firmness. May Almighty Allah give taugfiq not only to you but to all the Muslims to grow beard and being firm on it! Amen!
(2) Almighty Allah accepts good deeds of a person who does not grow beard and shaves it if he does it as per the Shariah with sincerity but shaving beard and not keeping it is major sin of 24 hours hence such person always remains under the wrath and anger of Allah. Also due to major sin the reward of his good deeds is less than others who keep beard.
