Can a Muslim accept interest-based loan money from non-Muslim parents?

Case 1: Someone whose parents are not Muslims, his parents want to lend him money, but he learns that his parents had this money by making a loan to the bank with interest. Is it permissible for him to accept this money?
Case 2: Parents are not Muslims, make a loan to the bank with interest and buy some goods with this money. Is it permissible for their child to buy these goods?

Answer

(Fatwa: 281/183/L=1434)

(1&2) Non-Muslims are not entitled to act upon the Islamic commandments (furu’at) hence if they give anything to any Muslim earning by haram source or buy anything from it then it is lawful for the Muslim to use and take. Hence in the question mentioned above it shall be lawful for the son to take the things bought by his non-Muslim father. However, it is necessary for the son to try with wisely and with politeness to convince his parents to accept Islam.
