How should we pray on different means of transport, such as vehicles, boats or airplanes?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
How our Prophet (SAWS) offered his prayer on means of transport (horse/camel) and what is the correct method for us when our means of travel are different. I am confused on direction of Qiblah since it is a fardh and standing versus sitting, sajdah and other difference that we have when we pray on vehicle/boat/airplane.

Answer

(Fatwa: 2163/1705/B=1433)

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) while riding horse or camel used to offer nafl salah on it and do ruku and sajdah with gesture when he faced towards Qiblah, i.e. he bowed down a little for ruku and a little more for sajdah. We also can offer nafl salah on vehicles in case it is moving towards Qiblah while standing or sitting and can do ruku and sajdah with gesture.
