Answer

(Fatwa: 1075/1057/N=1433)

(1) According to Islam, as one can marry the daughter of one’s real uncle in the same way it is lawful to marry the daughter of father’s and mother’s real uncle. Almighty Allah says in the holy Quran:
(2) The source and reference of Islamic commandments are only the holy Quran and Hadith. History is not a proof as it is the collection of the previous human life which contains all types of lawful and unlawful works; hence there is no need of historical example for its lawfulness.
