What does one need to do if they break an oath taken on the Quran?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Once my father took an oath of the holy Quran for doing a particular deed but now he as well as me and my family do not want to do that. Now please tell me about the kaffarah of this oath.

Answer

(Fatwa: 1721/1337/B=1433)

The kaffarah of oath shall be wajib on you if you fail to fulfil the task which you swore to do in future. The kaffarah of oath is to feed 10 poor persons two times a day. But if one is poor and does not have capacity to feed the poor then he should keep fast of three days consecutively.
