How to dress for salah according to hadith?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Barailavi Ulama constantly stress on this point, that it is makrooh tahrimi to fold the pant or any type of cloth in salah either you fold it below or above on waist, quoting few hadith e.g.
Ibn Abbas (RadiAllahu anhu) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “I was commanded to prostrate myself on the seven [bones] and forbidden to fold back hair and clothing. [The seven bones are] forehead, nose, hands, knees and feet.” (Sahih Muslim: Book 4, Number 995)
Kindly clearly this issue, as I am confused because of beloved Prophet (May Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) used to use Lungi and lungi is fasten by folding the upper side and same is the case with Ihram. Kindly make the clarification in detail?

Folding and wrapping clothes is forbidden in salah. It includes: to wrap and take care of the daman of the kurta or the pyjama etc while going in sajdah from ruku so that it does not touch the dust or the iron of the clothe is not spoiled, or to fold the sleeves or the clothe more than what is common practice or lungi and pyjama are tied above the kurta etc. But as for folding the upper part of the lungi in order to tighten it near the upper part of the naval or folding the pyjama etc hanging below the ankle, it is not the meant by this hadith, it is wrong to think that it was meant by the hadith. The holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and Sahaba (رضي الله عنهم) used to use amamah extensively while in amamah the cloth is wrapped around head.
