Is it permissible for a Muslim nurse to switch off a life support machine for a brain dead patient?

Assalaamualaikum Q- A Nurse is working in Intensive care in Hospital,some patients Muslims and Non Muslims they are brain dead and are on live support Machine,after some time the Nurses are told that they have to switch the live support Machine off, but if the live support Machine is switched off the patient will die,will it be permissibe for the Muslim Nurse to switch off the live support Machine? Please provide answer with reference Jazakumullah.

(Fatwa: 1173/146=B/1429)

Patients should be kept on machine as long as possible, and when the guardian of the patient is not able to bear the expenses then there is no wrong in switching off the machine. This is neither murder nor a cause leading to murder. So, in the above condition case, there is no wrong in switching off the machine. (Muntakhabat Nizamul Fatawa: 349)
