Is Prudential BSN Takaful Malaysia’s General & Family Takaful Halal?

I hope you are in the best of health. InshaAllah. I am emailing from Malaysia. Alhamdulillah, I have now obtained your contact after so long searching for it. I have two questions, please help me: QUESTION 1 Please could you inform me as to what is the ruling on Takaful (Islamic Insurance / Cooperative Insurance in Islam). Previously I sympathised this mode of insurance, though recent correspondence I obtained from the Ulama of Darul Iftaa, Camperdown, South Africa imply that it is Haraam. Maybe I did not understand properly. I would be greatful if you could advice me of the ruling, and please could you explain as to the reasons on why it is Haram or Halal. In Malaysia, I am among a handful of Traditionalist Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah adherents who want to know what our Fuqaha say. In Malaysia, we have many scholars too, but it is greatly influenced by the “Modern” school. Traditionalism is not strong in Malaysia. QUESTION 2 Please could you inform me as to whether the following schemes provided in the following website is Halal. It is by Prudential BSN Takaful Malaysia: http://www.prubsn.com.my/products_services.php The products are “General Takaful”, and “Family Takaful”.
