Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
In a hot exchange I said my wife in Urdu, I left you for next four months (Maine tum ko char mahene ke liye chor diya) the total intension was not to do intercourse for next four month. Than my wife replied are you sure than said yes. But after three days we got compromise and had sex. Kindly suggest me regarding the same in breif it is Talak or what compensation I have to pay.

Answer

(Fatwa: 756/589/D=1431)

If he pronounced the sentence: “I left you for next four months” with the intension of not having intercourse for four months, neither talaq took place nor any kaffarah (expiation) was due.
